Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba Celebrates Emir of Minna at 67 and 36 years on the throne.
Farmer Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba of Niger State has felicitated with the Emir of Minna, HRH. Alhaji (Dr) Umar Farouk Bahago MON, on the occassion of his 67th birthday and attainment of 36 years on the throne as the Emir of Minna.
In a statement released by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ummikhaltume Abdullahi Kuta, Comrade Yakubu Garba noted that the Emir has demonstrated an uncommon exemplary leadership in uplifting the lives of his subjects, especially in the education sector through the Emirate Educational Programme.
“We must reflect not only on his sincerity, patience and compassion but indepth of his empathy to his subjects in the discharge of his responsibility and duty as first class traditional ruler” part of the statement read.
While praying for good and sound health for the Emir, the Deputy Governor urged the Royal Father to continue with his good leadership style for the continued unity and peaceful coexistence among the people of Minna Emirate.
It may be recalled that His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umar Farooq Bahago, was born on the 5th March, 1957. He ascended to the throne on 5th March 1988, about 36 years ago, and proclaimed with a staff of office on the same day.
