Alhaji Mohammed Umar Binna nominated as the New Dagacin Binna.

Emir of Lapai Alhaji Umaru Bago Tafida the third has approved the appointment of Alhaji Mohammed Umar Binna as the new Dagacin Binna in Lapai local government area of Niger state.
He gave the approval during the presentation of the selected nominee to the Emirate council at the emir’s palace in Lapai on 30th December, 2023, while he prayed for both the late and new Dagacin Dagacin Binna.
The four ruling houses of Yaba, Anama, Rokoba and Saije with representatives of each unanimously endorsed Alhaji Mohammed Umar a decendant of Etsu Mazza Saije ruling house and was presented to the royal father who officially becomes the new village head of Binna community.
The Emir urged the community to support the new Dagacin Bina who is a retired health worker to the Niger State Ministry of Health and Hospital Services to ensure peace and tranquility in the area in order to enhance development.
He pointed out that leadership is about patience, seek advice before making decisions and carry along everybody to ensure sense of belonging so as to succeed in ensuring unity, peace, stability and growth of the area.
The Royal father however charged on the subjects to be supportive, loyal, gives better advise and to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement to the appropriate authorities for immediate action of sustainable security of lives and property.
In his acceptance speech, the new Dagacin Bina, Alhaji Mohammed Umar Binna appreciated king makers and the entire commuy while calling for the support of all in order to succeed during his reign as he took over the throne of his fore father’s.
He maintained that his reign would ensure fairness, justice, equal opportunity and a very transparent and accountable leadership for smooth running of affairs to enhance peaceful coexistence in his domain.
It could be recalled that the late Dagacin Binna Malam Haruna Mohammed from Rokoba ruling house died early this month after a protracted illness at the age of eighty.
