Rafi Development Foundation (RDF) calls on all stakeholders of Kagara Emirate to unite for the overall development of the area.

The Rafi Development Foundation (RDF) has condemned the decline in educational infrastructure in Kagara Emirate, urging all relevant stakeholders to prioritize education by revamping the sector’s infrastructure in Rafi Local Government.
The forum made this appeal during a meeting at Haske Hotel in Minna, recently attended by Foundation members, where issues affecting welfare and infrastructure, especially in education, were discussed.
The Foundation expressed concern about the dilapidated classrooms at the IBB University Study Center in Tegina, which were damaged last year by rainstorms that tore off roofs, preventing admitted students from attending classes.
The forum also raised concerns over security challenges that threaten the educational system within the Emirate, leading to the closure of some schools in affected communities. This has prompted the relocation of Government Science College, Kagara, to a temporary site at Father O’Connell Science Secondary School in Minna.
An ad hoc committee was formed to visit the school’s temporary location and provide recommendations for its development.
The five-member committee, led by Kaigaman Kagara, Mal. Abdullahi Garba ASAB, includes Dr. Ibrahim Chindo Bisallah, Abdullahi Mohammed Kagara, Muhammad Hadi Pandogari, and Mohammed Ahmad Ushama ATOM.
According to the leadership, the committee has visited the school and made vital recommendations to the Foundation and other stakeholders, including the alumni. Facilities visited include classrooms and dormitories intended to serve the 150 students admitted to SS1.
The issue of Justice Fati Lami Abubakar Institute for Legal and Administrative Studies (FLAILAS), Kagara Study Center, was also discussed, with meaningful dialogue and suggestions aimed at finding solutions to the problems facing the center.
In its effort to foster relationships among members, the Foundation appointed Mal. Ibrahim Ahmed Ushama, the Chairman and traditional titleholder of Sarkin Yakin Kagara. The Foundation also announced the passing of one of its founding members, Mal Ibrahim Garba (Atanda), who was also the Scribe and had worked at Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru. Prayers were offered for his soul.
A committee was set up to visit and console the family and provide a donation as Sadaqah to the bereaved family.
The forum closed by appreciating Farmer Governor Umar Mohd Bago, Gwarzon Kagara, for visiting Kagara during Eid al-Fitr and for his ongoing support for the emirate. Others praised included the Emir of Kagara, Mal. Ahmad Garba Gunna II; Hon. Commissioner Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Inga Kaga; Hon. Chairman; and Dr. Ayuba Usman Katako for their partnership and dedication to the area’s development.
