Deputy Governor of Niger State Condemns Bandit Attack on Erena and Bagna Communities.
The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has strongly condemned the recent bandit attack on the Erena and Bagna communities, calling it barbaric, inhumane, and unacceptable.
In a statement released by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ummikhaltume Abdullahi Kuta, after receiving reports of the incident, the Deputy Governor expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and the destruction of property caused by the attackers.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the entire Erena and Bagna communities, assuring them that the government of Farmer Governor Muhammad Umaru Bago stands in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
Comrade Yakubu Garba reaffirmed the state government’s commitment, under the leadership of the Farmer Governor, to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens across the state.
He emphasized that security agencies have been instructed to increase efforts to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The Deputy Governor also urged residents to stay calm, remain vigilant, and cooperate with security personnel by providing timely and useful information that could aid ongoing investigations and security operations.
He further reiterated the administration’s commitment to strengthening community-based security strategies and improving collaboration with local stakeholders to prevent future incidents.
While calling for prayers and unity among citizens, Comrade Garba assured that the government will continue its efforts to restore peace and protect lives and property throughout Niger State.
