Niger Governor Bago Plans to Build New Government Science College in Kagara, Urges Politicians to Maintain Peace
Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago issued a firm warning to politicians in Kagara to help preserve the peace currently present in the Emirate.
He delivered this message during his Sallah visit to the Emir of Kagara, Alh Ahmed Garba Gunna Attahiru II, at his palace.
Bago stressed the importance of conducting political activities peacefully, reminding everyone that leadership ultimately comes from Allah, who grants authority as He wills.
He praised security agencies and the Emirate Council for their efforts in fighting informants and terrorists, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to preventing divisive politics from hindering progress.
The governor also reassured the community that work will soon resume on the 10 km and 5 km road projects and that the fencing of Kagara General Hospital will be finished soon.
He announced plans to build a new Government Science College in Kagara, noting that the current facility is being used as a military base, and pledged to reconstruct it.
He also discussed plans to develop a mini airport nearby to improve access and security.
Bago urged farmers to stay resilient and continue farming in the upcoming season, saying his government plans to provide farming tools and inputs at discounted rates to ensure a good harvest.
Expressing gratitude to the Emir for his steadfast support and wisdom, Bago assured that the Emirate will continue to benefit from his administration’s initiatives.
He called on residents to be patient and support leaders and security forces in maintaining peace within the Emirate.
The Emir of Kagara, Alh. Ahmed Garba Gunna Attahiru II, praised Bago for his efforts in reducing insecurity, acknowledging that his initiatives have revitalized traditional events and encouraged farmers to return to their activities, boosting socioeconomic development.
He pledged ongoing support for Bago’s initiatives and prayed for lasting peace across the Emirate, the state, and Nigeria as a whole.
In their remarks, the Member representing Rafi/Shiroro/Munya federal constituency, Ismail Musa Modibbo, and the Rafi Local Government Chairman, Alh. Usman Ayuba Katako, commended Bago for his significant achievements in security, infrastructure, and health sectors within Kagara Emirate and across the state.
They assured him of ongoing collaboration to transform the state for the benefit of its people.
