The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger State chapter, extends its congratulations to the Muslim community across the state, particularly to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, as you celebrate the successful conclusion of Ramadan and Eid-el-Fitr.
Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, Chairman of CAN Niger State and Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, expressed his commendation in a statement.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining the unity and peace that have characterized the state, rooted in the teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith, which promote peace, love, discipline, and humility.
As Eid al-Fitr signifies the end of Ramadan, we encourage all to prioritize peaceful coexistence with people of other faiths, fostering harmony and understanding.
We pray for divine guidance for the Governor and other leaders to continue their selfless service to humanity.
Additionally, we call on Nigerlites to utilize this period coinciding with the end of Ramadan and Lent to pray for ongoing peace, unity, and prosperity in the country.
