Brighter Community Distributes Ramadan Aid to Less Privileged in Minna
The Brighter Community in Minna, the capital of Niger State, has distributed food items, clothing materials, and cash totaling N1,500,000 to less privileged members of the community in celebration of Ramadan.
Speaking at the event, Alh. Abubakar Sadiq Ayuba (Gunduma Brighter and Kuyanbanan Minna) said the purpose of the gathering was to bring joy to those in need. He highlighted the participation of both Muslims and Christians as a strong demonstration of unity and love within the community.
He advised beneficiaries to make good use of the items received and prayed for divine rewards for the organizers, especially the Coordinator, Engr. Haliru Umar, and who also double as the Secretary of Brighter Elders’ Forum.
In his remarks, Dr. Abubakar Kawu Hassan, Chairman of the Brighter Community Elders’ Forum, disclosed that over 100 beneficiaries benefited from the forum’s annual humanitarian outreach targeted at vulnerable members of the community..

He reaffirmed the forum’s commitment to transparency and accountability, emphasizing that the initiative was driven purely by compassion and the desire to support the less privileged during Ramadan.
He expressed gratitude to all donors, noting that every contribution, regardless of size, is valued in the sight of God. He also called on government at all levels to continue supporting community-based humanitarian efforts to ensure such initiatives receive adequate attention.

In his vote of thanks, Alh. Yanga Buba appreciated both the donors and the organizers of the initiative. He extended his greetings to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Minna, and wished everyone a safe journey back to their respective destinations.
