Deputy Governor Inspects Dutsen Kura Water Booster Pump Station

Niger State Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, conducted an inspection of the Dutsen Kura Booster Pump Station following the vandalism of the 500kva generator on January 20, 2026.
During the visit, he was received by the Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources and Irrigation Services, Engineer Farouk Umaru Audi, along with other management staff.
The Honourable Commissioner explained that the vandalism resulted in the theft of critical equipment, including armored cables.
The Deputy Governor emphasized the need to speed up repairs and hold those responsible accountable.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving water supply and addressing sector challenges.
The public is urged to cooperate with authorities to prevent future incidents.
