Niger Govt Partnership Correspondents Chapel Members of NUJ

Niger State Commissioner For Information and Orientation, Mr Obed Nana Nuhu has called for strong partnership between his ministry and the Correspondents Chapel of NUJ to enable him deliver the New Niger Agenda of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago diligently and successfully.
He made the call when he visited the union at their office in Minna, to thanked them for the work they have been doing and called for more to succeed.
Mr Obed Nana who said as a former staff of NTA his visit was more of a home coming, also spoke of plans by the Niger state Government to Organise a National Media Summit this year.
The Niger State Commissioner For Information and National Orientation, told members of the Correspondents Chapel of NUJ that his recent visit of media facilities had afforded him the opportunity to see some challenges facing state owned media outfits.
He revealed that plans are underway to revive and overhaul Niger State Television, Newsline Newspapers Limited and the Broadcasting Corporation of Niger State among others.
On the Information Officers that were spread across twenty five Local Government Areas of the state, Mr Obed Nana said they will be trained and provided with modern gadgets to enable them provide a daily or weekly report for effective service delivery, and pledge to harmonise a work plan for Niger state Government.
In his remarks, the Chairman Correspondents Chapel of NUJ, Niger state chapter, Comrade Yakubu Mustapha Bina, assured the information commissioner of their support to achieve maximum results, stressing that as professionals they deserved to be treated with dignity and respect.
