Hon. Murtala Haliru Dantoro Praises Niger State’s Security Achievements and Calls for Collective Effort.

Hon. Murtala Haliru Dantoro, House of Representatives aspirant for Borgu and Agwara in Niger State, has commended the government for the safe return of abducted school children, emphasizing the success of coordinated efforts between the Federal Government and the Niger State authorities under Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.
He expressed empathy for the parents whose children are still in captivity, assuring them that their pain is recognized and that every effort is being made—supported by prayers and strategic initiatives—to ensure the safe return of all children and teachers. “This is a sacred commitment, not just a promise,” he stated.
Hon. Murtala highlighted Niger State’s vast land, abundant resources, and resilient communities, noting that despite these advantages, the state has become a hotspot for insecurity.
He pointed out that farmers are unable to tend their fields, children are afraid to attend school, and mothers live in constant fear of abduction. Roads have become dangerous, and forests serve as hideouts for criminals, which he considers unacceptable.
He affirmed that such circumstances do not reflect the Niger State citizens deserve and that they are not the future they envision for their children.
Calling for unified action, Hon. Murtala urged all stakeholders to support the state government in enhancing security. He warned that the ongoing crisis endangers the very fabric of the state—jeopardizing the economy, the future of our children, and the dignity of our people.
He emphasized that securing the state is a collective responsibility, involving parents, teachers, religious and traditional leaders, youth organizations, women’s groups, and every citizen. Citizens must remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, support security agencies, and hold them accountable while investing in education and youth empowerment.
