Niger State Governor emphasizes Collaboration,Strategic Planning for Development.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has stressed the importance of collaboration among cabinet members and their subordinates to accelerate the state’s development.
Speaking at a capacity-building retreat for Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Local Government Chairmen, and Deputies, Governor Umaru Bago highlighted the necessity of teamwork, fostering good relationships, and encouraging innovative approaches to advance the state.
He described the retreat as a vital platform for setting new directions, urging government officials to utilize available resources to enhance cohesion and growth.
The governor also called on leaders at all levels to exercise prudence, emphasizing that all ministries must ensure responsible spending aligned with the state’s vision.
Looking ahead, Umaru Bago outlined his plans for the 2026 budget, focusing on education, health, and water, reaffirming the continuation of ongoing projects.
Additionally, he expressed intent to empower Local Government Vice Chairmen to focus on women, widows, and children at the grassroots, while Council Chairmen concentrate on administrative responsibilities.
Participants, including Secretary to the State Government Abubakar Usman, highlighted the retreat’s significance in revitalizing governance and motivating officials to contribute effectively to the state’s development.
