Governor Bago Joins Sympathizers in Paying Last Respects to Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago was among thousands of sympathizers, both from within Nigeria and abroad, attending the funeral of the esteemed Islamic scholar and spiritual leader of the Tijjaniya order, Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi.
The funeral service took place at the Eid ground along Gombe Road in Bauchi State, conducted by the Grand Imam of Nigeria, Sheikh Sharif Saleh.
Governor Bago described the deceased as a distinguished scholar who led an exemplary life.
He also paid a condolence visit to his Bauchi State counterpart, Senator Bala Mohammed, and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi. During the visit, he acknowledged the significant impact of the scholar on humanity and expressed that his legacy will be remembered positively.
The governor prayed for the repose of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s soul and for God’s comfort to the bereaved families.
Among the dignitaries present were Vice President Kashim Shettima, who led the federal government delegation; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; current and former state governors; lawmakers; and traditional rulers from across Nigeria.
