Mass Defection: Over 10,000 APC and PDP Members Join African Democratic Congress in Benue State.

In a significant political shift, over 10,000 members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC), and various other political parties have officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.
This mass defection occurred on Saturday, May 13, 2025, during a grand unveiling ceremony for the ADC, led by the Benue State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Terngu Tsegba.
The event, which took place in the Agatu LGA of the Benue South Senatorial District, attracted a substantial crowd of new members, political supporters, and admirers of Sir John Ngbede, a key political figure in the State.
As part of the ceremony, Ngbede announced the donation of a building to serve as the new party secretariat in Agatu.
In his remarks, Tsegba lauded the local leadership for organizing what he termed the largest unveiling event in the state, and commended Ngbede for his efforts in mobilizing grassroots support, recognizing his enduring influence in shaping the region’s political landscape.
