NUP Request Retirees Unable to Participate in the “Am Alive” Verification Exercise to provide a list of the affected person.

By Yahaya Zakka Minna.

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners Niger state council has requested all the 25 local government branches, of the Union Chairmen and secretaries to provide a comprehensive list of Pensioners who, due to health challenges, are unable to go to a bank to complete the ongoing second phase of “Am Alive” verification exercise.

In addition, the Union requests that you include the names of all retiree currently residing abroad, accompanied by relevant supporting documents such as:

1. Medical reports (for the sick)

2. Travel/residency documents (for those abroad)

3. Account number and BVN number

4. RB Number and verification slip

This information will greatly assist the State Pension Board to appropriately take steps in ensuring these categories of Pensioners are not unjustly affected by the verification requirement, and they will continue to receive their monthly entitlement without disruption.

The requested details information should be submitted to the Nigeria Union of Pensioners Niger State Secretariat on or before 15 of July 2025 for further action to the Niger State pension board.

The state Nigeria Union of Pensioners thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Signed

Abdullahi Baba Sani
State Secretary,
Nigeria Union of Pensioners,
Niger State Council.
