FCT Police Engage Armed Robbers in Gun Duel, Arrest Two, Recover Stolen Cars.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the arrest of two notorious armed robbers who have been troubling the peace of the nation’s capital.
In a statement released on Sunday, SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the command, explained that the arrests followed a distress call regarding an ongoing robbery at Royal Court Estate, Jahi II, on March 27.
Upon arriving at the scene, police operatives encountered the armed suspects, who opened fire. Thanks to the superior firepower of the police, the suspects were overcome and attempted to flee, sustaining gunshot injuries in the process.
A hot pursuit ensued, resulting in the apprehension of two suspects: Rabiu Jubril and Ibrahim Isa, both residents of Tipper Garage, Jahi.
The police recovered two locally made firearms and three suspected stolen vehicles: a black Toyota Matrix (Reg. No. NBS 348 CP), a black Toyota Venza (Reg. No. ABJ 105 AV), and a grey Lexus (Reg. No. RSH 295 CB).
Additionally, other items confiscated included two MacBook Pro laptops, one Lenovo laptop, one iPad, one PS4 gaming console, one Canon IP1224 camera, and one drone camera.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged in court once investigations are completed.
The Commissioner of Police for the FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, urges residents to take proactive security measures, particularly by installing tracking devices in their vehicles.
This significantly improves recovery efforts in the unfortunate event of theft or robbery, the statement concluded.
