N-HYPADDEC Sets to Distribution Starter Packs to 5,000 YTP Trained Youths

National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission has concluded plans for the flag-off of distribution of Starter-Packs to graduands of its Youth Transformation Programme (YTP) who have satisfied all the requirements outlined for the programme.

The Head, Press and Public Affairs, N-HYPPADEC, Nura Tanko Wakili in a press statement issued in Minna said,
the Commission has already sent notification and invitation letters to the Minister for Youth Development and Governors of the Six States that participated in the programme for their cincurrence to the proposed dates.

The dates as contained in the programme iterinary indicated that the National flag-off will be conducted in Minna, Niger State on Saturday 2nd November, 2024 while beneficiaries from Plateau and Benue States will receive their packs in their states capital on 5th and 7th November respectively.

According to the statement, the distribution will take place in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital for beneficiaries from the state on 9th November, Kogi state in Lokoja on the 26th November and Kwara State on 1st December, 2024.

It is important to note that only beneficiaries of the programme duely registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission who also submitted undertaking letters from their guarantors will receive the packs, however 5,000 beneficiaries were trained consisting of
Niger -1,623, Kebbi -1,011, Kogi -705 ,Plateau -365, Kwara -814 and Benue -505

Tanko Wakili noted that N-HYPADDEC however restates it commitment to due diligence and meticulous processes with a view to ensuring that the objective of the programme is achieved.

The Managing Director of the Commission, Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa has expressed his profound appreciation to the beneficiaries for their patience in spite of efforts by agents provocateur to disrupt the processes, while reassuring its commitment to promoting the welfare of youth and improving their living standard.
