Governor Bago Donates Vehicles to Management Staff of AKUM
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has presented vehicles to the management staff of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM). The ceremony took place at the Niger State liaison office in Abuja.
Governor Bago stated that the donation aims to improve staff mobility and strengthen their commitment to their responsibilities. “Our support for academia is crucial. With divine guidance, we will prioritize the welfare of our lecturers and staff, aiming to elevate AKUM to become one of Nigeria’s top universities,” he emphasized.
He congratulated the recipients and urged them to work diligently to enhance the university’s reputation, especially in light of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, and the newly established Abdulsalami Abubakar University of Agriculture and Climate Action, Mokwa.
Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, Pro-Chancellor of AKUM, thanked Governor Bago for the gesture and praised his continuous support, which has led to increased student admissions.
“Today, Abdulkadir Kure University is undeniably among Nigeria’s leading state universities, attracting numerous students. Your efforts to expand access to education and develop human capital are highly commendable,” he said.
