Dr. Abdullahi Jabi (CD) Celebrates the 84th Birthday of General Abdulsalami Abubakar
The Executive Committee of the Campaign for Democracy, Niger State Chapter, North-Central Zone, extend warm wishes to Abubakar Alhaji Abdulsalami, GCFR, former Head of State and hero of Nigerian democracy.
In a heartfelt message from Comrade Tayo Ayobami, State Administrative Secretary, on behalf of Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Jabi and the CD North Central National Executive Committee, issued to the media in Minna, the message expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for keeping the elder statesman healthy and in good spirits to celebrate this milestone.
He commended General Abdulsalami Abubakar’s patriotism and dedicated service, especially his key role in guiding Nigeria’s peaceful transition from military rule to democracy in 1999.
Dr. Jabi recognized the strong foundation established during this transition, which has helped Nigeria’s democratic progress over the past 27 years.
He also praised Abdulsalami’s ongoing efforts with the National Peace Committee to promote peace and unity, highlighting its essential role in building trust among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic, religious, and political communities.
Describing Abdulsalami as a distinguished military officer, respected agriculturist, and philanthropist, Dr. Jabi pointed out his commitment to improving lives across various tribes and faiths.
He celebrated Nigeria’s democratic achievements under his leadership, including citizens’ empowerment to choose their leaders through credible elections.
