The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Gogo Gana, wife of the Council’s Vice Chairman, Comrade Uriah Gana.
In a condolence message issued by the State Secretary, Comrade Usman Chiji, Dr. Abu Nmodu, Chairman of NUJ Niger State, described her passing as a shocking and devastating loss.
He noted that while every death is painful, losing a loved one, especially a wife, is particularly heartbreaking. Dr. Nmodu praised the late Mrs. Gana as a devoted Christian who dedicated her life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Union extends its sympathies to the Vice Chairman, the Gaba community, and the people of Lavun Local Government Area.
Dr. Nmodu urged the Vice Chairman to find comfort in her exemplary life rather than be overwhelmed by grief, emphasizing that she lived as a true servant of God.
He added that her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, colleagues, and especially the media industry.
The NUJ Chairman advised Comrade Uriah Gana to accept death as an unavoidable part of life, reminding him that everything happens according to divine will.
He prayed that God forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord Jesus Christ, and give the family strength to endure this great loss.
