FHCDI HOSTS 2026 CHILDREN’S DAY SPELLING BEE IN SULEJA

The Foundation for Human Capacity Development and Innovation (FHCDI), Suleja, has concluded its annual Children’s Day Spelling Bee Competition, with Juneberry School emerging as the overall winner of the 2026 edition.
The event, organised and facilitated by the Founder of the Foundation Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim, brought together pupils from both public and private schools across Suleja in a keenly contested academic exercise aimed at promoting excellence in education and healthy competition among children.
At the grand finale held during the closing ceremony of the Children’s Day celebration, Hassan Dallatu Model School emerged as the first runner-up, while Global Vision School secured third position after competing against Engr Mukhtar Primary School Gwazunu in the third-place contest.
Defending champions, Juneberry School, demonstrated exceptional academic strength to successfully retain their title and lift the 2026 championship trophy.
Speaking at the event, the organisers described the competition as an annual initiative designed to encourage academic excellence, build confidence among pupils, and strengthen learning culture among school children in Suleja and beyond.
The winning schools went home with trophies and cash prizes of N500,000 for first place, N350,000 for second place, and N200,000 for third place.
Participants, teachers, parents and guests commended the Foundation for sustaining the educational initiative, noting that the competition has continued to inspire pupils toward academic excellence through persistence, discipline and determination.
