Akogate Group CEO Announces Date for 2026 Oluremi Tinubu Golf Classic
Felix Aganbi, Chief Executive Officer of Akogate Group, announced Thursday the date for the inaugural Oluremi Tinubu Golf Classic.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Canaanland Golf and Country Club in Koko. It aims to attract international talent, foster opportunities for emerging players, and inspire the next generation in women’s golf, according to Aganbi.
The festival of excellence, opportunity, and growth in women’s golf will be driven by Sir Alfred and Mrs. Warami Temile. This event marks a significant step toward strengthening women’s participation in golf in Nigeria, contributing to the development of the Niger Delta, attracting women, officials, and fans to Warri North, and boosting local tourism and hospitality industries in Delta State.
“Beyond the one-day event, it offers women the chance to earn prize money,” Aganbi stated.
He urged Nigerian husbands, fathers, and brothers to support their wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters in participating in the event, emphasizing the importance of empowering women.
“Men must recognize that an uneducated, uninformed woman is a liability not only to the family but to the nation,” he remarked.
Organizers anticipate the participation of 75 women from across Nigeria.
