RAMADAN MESSAGE TO THE MUSLIM UMMAH
As Muslims across Nigeria and around the world commence the sacred month of Ramadan, I, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Orientation of Niger State, on behalf of the Government and people of Niger State, extend warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the beginning of this year’s holy fast.
Ramadan is a highly significant period in the Islamic calendar, characterized by devotion, sacrifice, compassion, and renewed faith. It serves as a time for spiritual reflection, self-discipline, charity, and strengthening bonds within families and communities.
In his statement, Hon. Obed Nuhu Nana, emphasized that the Niger State Government urges all Muslims to utilize this solemn period to fervently pray for peace, unity, and stability within our state and the nation at large. Prayers for our leaders at all levels are particularly encouraged, seeking Allah’s wisdom, integrity, and guidance in their responsibilities for the collective well-being.
As we observe this sacred month, may the virtues of patience, tolerance, and generosity, which define Ramadan, continue to influence our daily interactions beyond the fasting period.
Let us remain committed to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and responsible citizenship.
The Government extends its best wishes to all Muslims in Niger State and across Nigeria for a spiritually enriching and fulfilling Ramadan.
May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and acts of charity, and grant us the grace to complete this holy month in good health and prosperity.
