Governor Bago Approves New Appointments in Niger State’s Education Sector

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has authorized the formation of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) and the Niger State Secondary Education Board, according to a statement from the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Alh. Abubakar Usman.
The newly appointed members of NSUBEB include Ibrahim A. Liman as Chairman, with members Monday Emigi, Mohammed Mudi, Samuel Makotso, Malik Madaki Bosso, and Mohammed Mamman Auna. Dr. Aminu Wushishi has been designated as Secretary of the Board.
For the Secondary Education Board, Abdulkadir Isah Nafuntuwa will serve as Chairman. Members include Mohammed Madami Evuti, Salihu Danladi, Yusuf Yakubu Salka, Dr. Yinti Usman, Abubakar Garo, and Dr. Ahmed Egbako, who will serve as Secretary.
Governor Bago extended his congratulations to the appointees, urging them to leverage their experience, professionalism, and dedication to realize the administration’s vision of transforming the education sector through the New Niger agenda.
He emphasized that these appointments are part of ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning and strengthening education, with a focus on improving efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.
The governor urged the new appointees to promote transparency, ensure prudent resource management, and effectively implement policies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes across the state.
He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to restoring pride in the education sector as a vital foundation for sustainable human capital development in Niger State.
