Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed the reduction of the 2026 Hajj fare to N7,696,769.76.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, made this known in a statement following the decision by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to lower the fare.
He also mentioned that the Board has set November 30th, 2025, as the deadline for collecting the 2026 Hajj fare, giving the Board enough time to prepare and meet NAHCON’s deadline.
Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu urged all intending Pilgrims to expedite their payments to enable timely remittance to NAHCON.
The Executive Secretary also disclosed that the board recently engaged with the 25 Local Area Pilgrims Welfare Officers (APWOs) to discuss updates on preparations, the collection process, and to brief them on improved medical screening procedures. These procedures aim to ensure only those who are physically and medically fit will undertake the journey.
The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board reaffirms its commitment to providing a meaningful experience for pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj.
