Niger State Assembly Honors Emir of Borgu on 10th Anniversary.

The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. (Dr.) Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin-Daji, along with members of the 10th Assembly, gathered to celebrate the grand finale of the Emir of Borgu’s 10th anniversary.
The event took place at Sabuke Square, New Bussa, in recognition of Barr. (Dr.) Muhammad Sani Haliru Dantoro, Kitoro IV.
In a statement released by Mairo Adamu Mani, Acting Head of the Media Department, Speaker Sarkin-Daji expressed his gratitude for being honored with the title of Dokajin Borgu, which means “Protector and Custodian of the Law.”
He pledged to use his 14 years of legal experience to promote the growth and development of the Borgu Kingdom, stating, “We will stop at nothing to make this Kingdom proud and to make His Royal Highness proud as well.”
Sarkin-Daji praised the Emir for his exemplary leadership, emphasizing that the impressive turnout at the event was a testament to the Emir’s commitment to the progress of the Kingdom. “I am proud to identify myself with the Emirate, and I am very happy for His Royal Highness,” he declared.
Additionally, the Speaker highlighted the vital role of traditional rulers in governance and community development, underscoring their importance in maintaining peace and fostering progress. “Traditional rulers play a crucial role in the development of our country,” he stated.
The event not only celebrated a decade of the Emir’s leadership but also showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Borgu Kingdom, bringing together dignitaries and community members to honor both tradition and progress.
