Niger State Governor Umaru Bago Attends Meeting with Members of Defunct CPC and Buhari Organisation.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago attended a meeting with founding members of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and the Buhari Organisation held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
During the forum, Governor Bago reaffirmed the Niger State government’s commitment to promoting food security and fully aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a sustainable future for all. He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for providing the necessary support to achieve national food production goals, emphasizing that Niger State will continue to serve as a pilot state for agricultural programs.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his address, announced that the revenue target for 2025 was met in August due to economic reforms aimed at stimulating the non-oil sector. He assured Nigerians that the Renewed Hope Agenda is firmly focused on building critical infrastructure, improving health facilities, ensuring food sovereignty, and providing security.
The President also promised that the legacies of former President Muhammadu Buhari would be preserved and celebrated with the establishment of a Buhari House. He noted that more members of the former CPC would be given opportunities to participate in the government.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbass expressed gratitude to the President for his vision and openness in including all political stakeholders.
The leader of the delegation and former Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura, affirmed that members of the former Congress for Progressive Change remain committed to the success of the APC government.
