Niger APC Celebrates the NCDC Appointment of Hon. Jikantoro and Prof. Nuhu Tachi.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has congratulated two of its prominent members, Hon. Halliru Zakari Jikantoro and Prof. Muhammad Bashar Nuhu Tachi, on their recent appointments to the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).
The duo was inaugurated on Friday in Abuja and will play significant roles in the commission’s leadership; Prof. Nuhu Tachi has been appointed as the Executive Secretary, while Hon. Jikantoro serves as a board member.
In a statement signed by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Musa D. Sarkinkaji, the State Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Musa Bobi, expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing the contributions and leadership potential of these two Niger State indigenes.
Alhaji Bobi described their appointments as a testament to their “unwavering commitment to public service,” urging them to represent the state with integrity, dedication, and innovation.
He emphasized that their combined wealth of experience would be invaluable in advancing the commission’s mandate of driving development across the North Central region.
“We are confident that Hon. Jikantoro and Prof. Nuhu Tachi will bring fresh energy and vision to the NCDC. They carry the trust of our party and the people of Niger State, and we pledge our unwavering support as they embark on this national assignment,” Bobi stated.
Hon. Jikantoro is a seasoned politician and administrator who previously served as a member of the National Assembly, a Commissioner, and most recently as the Chairman of the Niger State APC. Prof. Bashar Nuhu Tachi, on the other hand, is a distinguished academic and professional, holding fellowships and memberships in several prestigious institutions, including the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, the Nigerian Environmental Society, the Nigerian Institute of Management, and the Chartered Royal Institute of Surveyors.
Their appointments are viewed as a strategic boost for Niger State’s representation in federal initiatives and a promising step toward strengthening development in the North Central zone.
