Pro-Chancellor AKUM varsity, Prof. Kuta Yahaya greets IBB at 84

The Pro-Chancellor of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM), Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya has joined millions of Nigerians and well-wishers across the globe to celebrate the 84th birthday of Nigeria’s former Military President and Commander-in-Chief o the Armed Forces, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, on the occasion of 84th birthday anniversary.
In his congratulatory message, Prof. Kuta Yahaya described Gen. Babangida as a revered elder statesman whose life remains a shining example of wisdom, courage and statesmanship.
“Gen. Babangida is not only a father and counselor to many, but also a living lesson in leadership.
“Each encounter with him provides exemplary insights tailored to guide and enrich the future of those privileged to sit at his feet,” he said.
The Pro-Chancellor further noted that a reflection on Gen. Babangida’s life reveals a legacy that is remarkable, commendable and eminently worthy of emulation.
According to the former Secretary to the Government of Niger State, “each encounter with the former Nigerian Military President provides exemplary insights, tailored to guide and enrich the future of those privileged to sit at his feet.
He further remarked that a panoramic reflection on Babangida’s life reveals a legacy that is remarkable, commendable and eminently worthy of emulation.
Prof. Kuta who is also the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Wushishi Old Students Association (WOSA) prayed for the celebrant’s continued good health, long life and the preservation of his enduring legacies, which, according to him, have significantly shaped Nigeria’s history and future.
“May Almighty Allah bless him with peace, strength and fulfillment as he marks this milestone,” Prof. Kuta further prayed.
Gen. Babangida, fondly called “IBB,” remains one of Nigeria’s most influential leaders, whose role in governance and national development has left indelible marks on the nation’s political and socio-economic landscape.
His 84th birthday is being celebrated with tributes pouring in from across Nigeria and beyond, highlighting his stature as a symbol of leadership, resilience and wisdom.
