Niger State House of Assembly Partners with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) for Staff Development

The Niger State House of Assembly has reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to improve the skills and competencies of its personnel.
This commitment was highlighted by the Clerk of the Assembly, Mall. Farouq Umar Isah, during a courtesy visit from the Area Manager of ITF, Engr. Dr. Uhuami Abdulwahab (MNSE), and his management team at the Assembly Complex in Minna.
Mall. Isah expressed gratitude for the visit and assured that the Assembly would continue to strengthen its partnership with ITF, aiming to further develop the skills of its staff.
“We are eager to collaborate closely with the Industrial Training Fund to enhance our staff’s capabilities and provide effective service,” he remarked.
In his address, Engr. Dr. Uhuami Abdulwahab provided an overview of ITF’s mandate as Nigeria’s leading skill development agency, established in 1971 to promote human capital development.
He emphasized ITF’s readiness to offer essential interventions, including employability and entrepreneurship training, alongside capacity-building programs designed to enhance workforce competencies.
Engr. Abdulwahab expressed his enthusiasm for exploring potential partnership opportunities, particularly in the area of skills development for legislative staff and other stakeholders associated with the Niger State House of Assembly.
“We are eager to work with the Office of the Clerk to identify strategies that will benefit the Assembly’s staff through partnership and capacity building,” he noted.
The proposed collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to create a robust pool of skilled manpower capable of addressing the evolving demands of Nigeria’s economy.
