Defense Minister Highlights Troop Morale,Commitment in Kebbi Visit.
The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, recently conducted an operational visit to Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, where he engaged with troops stationed at Dukku Barracks.
This visit aimed to evaluate the progress of ongoing military operations in the region and to uplift the spirits of the dedicated soldiers fighting to combat insecurity in Nigeria, particularly in the North West.
During his address, the Minister conveyed the deep appreciation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the soldiers’ efforts and achievements in maintaining peace nationwide, especially in the ongoing fight against banditry and other criminal activities.
He praised the troops for their professional competence, bravery, and unwavering commitment, emphasizing that both the President and the nation are profoundly grateful for their sacrifices.
He encouraged the soldiers to intensify their efforts in eradicating all forms of insecurity, asking them, “Are you ready to end it?” to which they responded with a resounding, “Yes! Sir!”
Mati Ali, the Personal Assistant to the Minister on Media and Publicity, reported that the Minister expressed confidence in the troops’ ability to restore peace, ensuring that citizens could resume their daily activities without fear.
He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to prioritizing the welfare of the troops, recognizing their steadfastness in these challenging times.
