Niger State Liquor Licensing Board Executive Director Meets with the Beer Vendors Association in Borgu Local Government, New Bussa Area

On April 6, 2025, Hon. Mohammed Hamisu, the newly appointed Executive Director of Operations for the Niger State Liquor Licensing Board, held a meeting with officials and members of the Beer Vendors Association in Borgu Local Government’s New Bussa area.
During the meeting, the Executive Director encouraged the vendors to collaborate with the government led by the Farmer Governor, Dr. Mohammed Umaru Bago, to continue the good work he has initiated.
He emphasized the importance of timely revenue collection and urged the vendors to always pay their liquor sales revenues promptly using official government portal..
He cautioned that no payments should be made in cash to individuals, as this could lead to fraud and misappropriation of funds. “Revenues are utilized to execute quality projects and programs,” the Executive Director stated.
Additionally, he reminded the vendors of the government-approved distance regulations for selling alcohol and stressed that beer must not be sold to underage individuals.
He also noted that adults who consume alcohol should do so responsibly and not disturb public peace.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Beer Vendors Association, Mr. Adegbiji Abiodun, pledged to adhere to the directives and promised their full cooperation with the Board by strictly following the rules and regulations established in the Niger State Liquor Law of 1989.
The members of the Association congratulated the Executive Director on his appointment, wishing him success in his role, and prayed to Allah for wisdom for the Farmer Governor to further the New Niger Agenda.
The Executive Director expressed his gratitude to the Association officials for their positive response to his invitation and for their willingness to cooperate.
