Lightning Strikes, Killing Cows and Herder in Kaduna.

A herder and at least 12 cows were reportedly killed by a lightning strike in Southern Kaduna.
The incident occurred around 4:30 PM on Sunday in Matuak Giwa, located in the Bondon District of Moro’a Chiefdom, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to Simon Ayuba, the Village Head of Matuak Giwa, the young herder was taking shelter from the rain with his cattle when the lightning struck, killing them instantly.
“The herder and 12 cows died on the spot. It was a tragic occurrence that has left the community in shock,” Ayuba stated.
Confirming the incident, Mallam Tanko Isiyaka, the Ardo of Bondon District, revealed that the deceased herder was originally from Bauchi State.
He expressed his sadness over the event and urged the community to offer prayers and support for the bereaved family, as the victim was laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
The incident has since sparked grief and sympathy among the residents of the area.
