Governor Umaru Bago Hosts Special Ramadan Iftar for Key Stakeholders in Niger State.

In a heartfelt gathering aimed at fostering collaboration and development, Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, hosted a special Ramadan Iftar for critical stakeholders at the Hauwa Wali Multi-Purpose Hall, Government House Minna.
Governor Bago emphasized the importance of unity and teamwork among all stakeholders to drive the growth and development of Niger State.
He expressed that the Iftar serves as a meaningful opportunity during the holy month of Ramadan for stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue to devise pathways for progress in both Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.
Highlighting the significance of role models, the Governor called upon community leaders to be exemplary figures for the younger generation, encouraging them to contribute positively to the state’s advancement.
He also suggested that stakeholders meet on a quarterly basis to address pressing issues and strengthen the already existing relationships, irrespective of political affiliations.
Further, Farmer Bago urged residents to embrace his agricultural revolution initiative, which aims to enhance revenue streams for the state, especially in light of upcoming reforms related to taxation.
He also shared that the State APC has adopted a consensus method for primary elections in preparation for the forthcoming Local Government Council elections.
Commending his efforts, Senator Abdullahi Sabi, Minister of State for Agriculture, praised the Governor’s leadership for instilling hope and direction in the agricultural sector, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s food security agenda. Senator Muhammad Sani Musa, representing Niger East Senatorial District, acknowledged the farmer Governor’s commitment to developmental strides and food price stabilization, while advocating for improved infrastructure in the state.
The event garnered support from notable figures, including Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba, former Deputy Governor Ahmed Muhammad Ketso, and various federal and state legislators, all reinforcing their commitment to the Bago-led administration’s transformative agenda.
The Iftar highlighted the Governor’s dedication to collaboration and unity, underscoring a collective vision for the future of Niger State.
