Jubilation in Gbeganu Community as Governor Umaru Bago Provides Transformer After Years of Darkness.

The Gbeganu community, located near Sir Block Industry in the Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State, erupted in celebration upon receiving a transformer donated by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.
This significant gift marks a long-awaited resolution to years of electricity deprivation for the residents.
On Thursday, community members, including women, men, youth, and children, gathered in large numbers to express their joy at the arrival of the new transformer.
During the handover ceremony, Engineer Baba Aliyu, the Director of Electrical Engineering Services for the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, emphasized that this delivery fulfills Governor Bago’s promise to the community.
Engineer Aliyu commended Commissioner Mohammed Bashar Lokogoma for his swift action in executing the governor’s directive to distribute transformers to various localities.
He urged the beneficiaries to safeguard the transformer, avoid overloading, refrain from illegal connections, and ensure security around the equipment.
Mai Angwan Gbeganu, Aminu Abdullahi, praised Governor Bago for his generous support and assured him that the community would protect the transformer.
He also prayed for the governor’s continued good health and the wisdom to lead the state towards greater achievements.
In interviews with community members, Engineer Shittu Toefeeq Olayiola described Governor Bago as a responsive leader who has demonstrated his commitment to fulfilling his promises.
He assured that the community would take diligent steps to safeguard the transformer, emphasizing that their efforts would not go unnoticed.
Kayinde Kolawale Johnson expressed her excitement over the renewed electricity supply, noting that after months of blackout, her businesses, including a salon ,a pure water and soft drink venture, would thrive once again, especially during the upcoming Ramadan.
Abdullateef Abdulrahman, also known as Baban Bago and chairman of the Owode Association, shared his relief that the Ramadan fast would commence with a stable electricity supply, marking a positive change after lengthy periods without power.
