LCPPE promotion : Gen.Aligbe Warns candidates against examination malpractice

LCPPE promotion : Gen.Aligbe Warns candidates against examination malpractice

The Commander Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), Maj. Gen. Kevin Aligbe, has urged candidates for the the 2025 Lieutenant to Captain Practical Promotion Examination (LCPPE), to focus fully on the examination and to shun malpractice.

This he said is to enable them make a solid foundation for their career progression.

Aligbe, who doubles as the Examination President, gave the charge during his address to the 208 candidates of 2025 LCPPE held at Maj Gen Joseph Nanven Garba Hall , Post Graduate School of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna in Kaduna State.

This is contained in a statement signed by Lt. Col. Sani Uba, Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations
Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army and made available to newsmen.

The Maj. Gen congratulated them for attaining the watershed moment in their chosen military career by selecting them to participate in the promotion examination.

He also reiterated zero tolerance to malpractice in the NA examinations, and advised the candidates to use the opportunity to lay a solid foundation for further consolidation of their chosen career.

Aligbe, also urged them to be disciplined, courageous and exemplary which are the virtues that formed the core values of the NA.

“And on which premise their career trajectory would be assured,” he said

The Examination President reminded the candidates that they are on a crucial assignment and their conduct during the examinations could make or mar their career.

“The 2025 LCPPE is designed to achieve the following objectives; improve the candidates knowledge on military profession, assist the NA in candidates’ career planning,

“Test the candidates’ physical fitness, stimulate healthy competitive spirit amongst the candidates, assess candidates’ ability in command amongst others,” he said.

The Maj. Gen. assured the candidates of the determination of the panelists to carry out a meticulous and painstaking assessment of their performance and accurate recording of their marks.

Earlier, the Chief host and the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. Mayirenso Saraso, urged the candidates to put in their best, maintain decorum.

“And be disciplined in order to come out successful in the examination,” he said

He said that the importance of the examination could not be over-emphasised.

Saraso thanked the Chief of Army Staff (GOC), Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, for giving the Headquarters 1 Division Nigerian Army opportunity to host the all important examination.

He also appreciated the Commander TRADOC NA for recommending 1 Division to host the examination amongst other well qualified Divisions of the NA .

Saraso also drew the attention of the panelists and candidates to the need for them to be individually and collectively security conscious while in Kaduna.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event had in attendance the Deputy Chief of Training (Courses and Examination), Army Headquarters Department of Training, Maj Gen .Ayoola Aboaba, the Chief of Training TRADOC NA, Maj Gen Peter Okoye ,

Representatives from Army Headquarters, Nigerian Army Heritage Centre and observers from Army Headquarters, principal staff officers from HQ 1 Division NA, TRADOC NA Team for2025 LCPPE, Examinations Panelists and the Directing Staff for the 2025 LCPPE among others.(NAN)
