Bosso, Paikoro, Chanchaga LGs stands still for Bago, Yakubu, Sani 313, others

By Our Correspondent.

Niger state Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago and his entourage has continued his official project monitoring tour in Niger east senatorial district with Bosso, Paikoro and Chanchaga local government areas under Minna emirate, with a warmth reception and hospitality by the people of the three local government areas.

In his usual way, the governor after inspecting the projects in each local government visited spare time to interact with the people and critical stakeholder, buttressing his statement all the time that his government is a government of all Nigerlites, especially the masses.

The Farmer Governor, addressing the people during the visit to the three local governments, said they were in the communities for three reasons. To inspect the ongoing projects, to know about the welfare of the people and to listen to them on areas where they want the government to improve upon.

In Maikunkele, the headquarters of Bosso local government, the marmot crowd that turned out to receive the Governor was unprecedented, looking like a campaign carnival at the Maikunkele Township Field on Friday.

The atmosphere at the venue of the citizens engagement in Maikunkele town was electrifying, with the crowd chanting “Sai Bago, sai Farmer Governor, making it looks like another campaign season.

In his usual character, the governor who was overwhelmed with excitement reels out some of the projects going on in Bosso local government, mostly road projects, and also mentioned additional plans the government has for the local government.

Some of the new plans the government has in stock for Bosso local government area were bypass road construction from Garatu to Beji, a ₦2 billion poultry project that will provide job opportunities for the teeming youths, a general hospital in Bosso to decongest Minna general hospital due to increased population in Minna and environs, a three lane road construction from airport junction to Beji town that will serve as the new city gate along Minna-Zungeru road among others projects.

The Farmer Governor was also at Paiko, the headquarters of Paikoro local government after inspecting ongoing projects in the local government, where he interacted with the people of Paikoro who came from far and near to receive him and his entourage.

As a Farmer himself, Governor Bago emphasized the importance of Agriculture in driving economic growth and development, hence the reason the present administration under his leadership prioritize agriculture among other sectors in the state.

Amidst the cheering atmosphere in Paiko, the Governor however, urged the youths of Paikoro to take advantage of the farming community they came from and engage actively in agriculture.

Minna Emir Palace was filled beyond its capacity with people, as Chanchaga local government citizens engagement rounded up the project monitoring tour of local governments under Minna emirate.

The massive turn out and patience displayed by the people of Chanchaga local government at the Emir palace is a sign that Chanchaga was indeed the political birth place of the Farmer Governor.

The Deputy Governor of the state, Comrade Yakubu Garba, who is the political face of the Emirate was filled with gratitude and appreciation over the love shown to his principal.

Comrade Yakubu Garba called on the people of the three local government areas to continue to have faith and support the Umar Bago led administration for more developmental programmes.

Stakeholders across the three local government took turns to appreciate the Governor for what he has been doing in their respective local government. They declared that the achievements recorded by the Bago led administration so far was unprecedented in the history of the state and prayed for more wisdom for the Farmer Governor, as well as the sustainability of the projects across the state.

Among the entourage of the Governor were the Secretary to the government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Gawu, Chief Of Staff and his deputies, former and present members of the state and national assemblies, members of the state executive council, both present and former, past and present local government council Chairmen, Party chieftains and faithfuls among others.
