CSP Hassan Gimba: A Beacon of Courage Against Crime
By Our Correspondent.
Hassan Gimba is a remarkable crimefighter of inestimable stature. Just mentioning his name sends fear into the hearts of those with criminal intentions.
As a courageous police officer, he bravely confronts armed bandits who wreak havoc on villagers both within and outside Niger State. He takes the fight against banditry directly to their dens, giving them the battle of their lives.
Among criminals, particularly bandits, the mere mention of Hassan’s name sends shivers down their spines. Fondly known as “Gwaska,” he has led many operations into the thick forests where armed bandits carry out their nefarious activities against innocent villagers.
During the early days of cattle rustling, which has now evolved into armed banditry in certain areas of Niger State, especially the Shiroro communities, Hassan Gimba dared to confront these unscrupulous elements in their strongholds.
In his early career as an officer in charge of the Inspector General’s Special Tactical Squad (IGP STS) at the Niger State headquarters, Hassan recorded tremendous successes, delivering unexpected blow to armed bandits. He effectively tackled cattle rustlers, bringing many to a standstill and recovering a significant number of stolen animals during the troubling period of cattle rustling within the state.
As the head of the Inspector General of Police Special Tactical Squad (STS) in Niger State, Hassan Gimba has undoubtedly cemented his reputation as an exceptional crimefighter who has made a lasting impact in the fight against crime.
Alhaji Hussaini Yusuf Bosso, the former National President of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), described Hassan Gimba as a police officer who has dedicated his life to protecting the Fulanis, who have faced unprecedented attacks from armed bandits and cattle rustlers.
According to Alhaji Hussaini Yusuf Bosso, Hassan Gimba has faithfully served the Nigeria Police Force, particularly in his fight against armed bandits that have overrun communities in Niger State. He has taken the battle directly to these terrorists, successfully bringing them to their knees.
“His elevation to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) is well-deserved,” he stated. “I am not surprised by his promotion, as he has worked diligently for it. I pray that more such promotions will come his way in his chosen endeavors.”
Mallam Umar Tanko Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Niger State, echoed these sentiments, stating that Hassan Gimba’s new rank reflects his commitment and dedication to the Nigeria Police Force. “Hassan Gimba has earned his stripes in the fight against insurgency and banditry despite all odds. His promotion to CSP is a well-deserved honor at his young age. With Allah’s grace, the sky is the limit for Hassan Gimba.”
Hassan Gimba is among over twenty police officers recently decorated by the Commissioner of Police for Niger State, CP Ebenezer Shawulu Dammam.
His promotion to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) serves as a morale booster for him to continue serving the country to the best of his ability. I congratulate you, my brother Gwaskipa, on this well-deserved promotion.
