The Niger State Government affirms its strong commitment to supporting the Nigerian Air Force in its constitutional mandate to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
At the 2024 Base Socio-Cultural Activities (BASA) event held at the 013 Quick Response Force in Minna, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago made this declaration. He was represented by the Commissioner for Homeland Security, Mohammed Bello Abdullahi, who recognized the efforts of the Nigerian Air Force in Minna.
Abdullahi commended their tireless work combating insecurity and insurgency, noting that the officers’ bravery, selfless service, and professionalism inspire the public.
Governor Bago described the personnel of the Nigerian Air Force as dominant forces in the battle space across various domains and praised their unwavering commitment to their duties.
He reassured attendees that the Niger State Government will continue to support and collaborate with the Nigerian Air Force by providing the necessary resources and infrastructure to enhance their effectiveness.
The governor encouraged the personnel to strive for excellence in all aspects of their operations, maintaining high standards to address emerging challenges effectively.
Earlier, the Commander of the 013 Quick Response Force, Group Captain Austine Idoko, reflected on their operational activities for 2024, stating that their efforts have yielded significant successes in alignment with the objectives of their headquarters.
He emphasized that the 013 Quick Response Force remains dedicated to consolidating the gains achieved and maintaining a swift response to security challenges within the state as part of Operation FANSAN YAMMA and other joint security initiatives.
