The stakeholders of Shiroro local government, under the auspices of the Shiroro Standing Committee on Peace, Unity, and Development, have passed a vote of confidence in Farmer Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago.
This declaration was made today during an expanded meeting attended by current and former political office holders, community leaders, party stalwarts, as well as representatives from youth and women’s groups at Az-Zahra Lodge in Minna.
In his address, the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, expressed gratitude to the stakeholders for their unwavering support.
He emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and cohesion as essential measures to combat insecurity, underdevelopment, and unemployment.
Comrade Garba urged leaders at all levels to embrace the vision of the Farmer Governor, which aims to transform Niger State into a model of progress.
He praised Governor Bago’s achievements, describing him as a God-sent leader.
The Chairman of the Standing Committee, Prof. Bashar Nuhu Mohammed, referred to Governor Bago as a special friend of Shiroro, deserving the full support of every citizen in the local government. On behalf of the committee and the people of Shiroro, he passed a vote of confidence in the Farmer Governor while also reaffirming their commitment and loyalty to the Deputy Governor.
Various speakers at the event commended the committee’s foresight and encouraged more gatherings to foster unity, peace, and harmony within the community.
