The stage is prepared for a major gathering of local and international entertainers at the National Theatre on December 13-14.
This event promises to be a historic rendezvous in the country’s commercial nerve center.
According to a statement from Mr. Yunusa Mohammed, Chairman of the Planning Committee, the National Theatre has established itself as a key promoter of unity in diversity.
“The National Theatre Annual Festival aims to foster better understanding among the people and evolve improved unity in the country,” he stated.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Rebranding Boundless Opportunities: A New Era of Unity and Inclusivity,” reflecting the current dominant realities of our age.
Key government officials, business moguls, and members of the diplomatic community are expected to attend the cultural parade, which will showcase Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups on Friday, December 13, 2024.
This year’s festival is touted to be the most spectacular yet, featuring exciting performances and special appearances by prominent figures from the theatre, music, film, and art sectors.
Industry stakeholders will engage in discussions on how cultural rebranding can drive inclusivity, economic growth, and innovation.
The festival will also include short film screenings and roundtable discussions focusing on urgent societal issues and ways to drive positive change in Nigeria, especially for young people. A live concert featuring a blend of emerging and established artists from around the world is another highlight of the event.
“All eyes will be on Nigeria’s greatest stars and young performers as they showcase their talents in music, spoken word, dance, and theatre,” Mr. Yunusa Mohammed concluded.
