Hajj 2025: FCT Muslim Pilgrims Board fixes N8.4m initial deposit, commences registrations

The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board said it has commenced registration of intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
In a statement signed by the Chief Information Officer of the board Ahmad Saleh made available to journalist said Malam Abubakar Evuti noted that the prospective intending pilgrims who wish to perform 2025 Hajj through the Board are to deposit a minimum of Eight Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (8,400,000.00) only via a bank draft from any commercial bank in favour of the FCT MUSLIM PILGRIMS WELFARE BOARD, ABUJA, to be registered.
According to the statement the Director of the Board, Malam Abubakar Adamu Evuti disclosed this in his office when some journalists paid him a courtesy visit at the Board.
He said the intending Pilgrims are to submit the bank drafts to the Board’s respective Area Officers at the six Area Councils in the FCT.
The Director of the Board, Malam Evuti further explained that the prospective intending pilgrims should understand that the Board does not accept cash deposits or entertain registration by proxy.
He mentioned that the Board strictly adheres to the principles of a first come, first served basis.
