Gov. Bago’s New Niger Project Is Realistic – SA
In an efforts to ensure the successful realization of the ‘New Niger’ Agenda, the state government has embarked on the construction of 100 units of Level 2 Primary Health Care simultaneously on going without hitches across the state
This is contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy, Abdullberqy Usman Ebbo in Minna.
According to Ebbo, the Governor at the ceremony further announced that about 20 of these centers to commenced immediately while others will come subsequently and simultaneously.
He added that two out of the said numbers facilities could not begun due to little technical issues which were located at Maitumbi FM in Bosso and Old Orphanage, Nasarawa C in Chanchaga local government areas respectively.
Abdulberqy Ebbo pointed out that governor Bago stated that these Level 2 Primary Healthcare Centres will be situated across the 25 local governments of the state so that people can access quality healthcare services within their communities without having to travel far.
According to him, the centers will be equipped with modern facilities such as modern beds, maternity equipments, computers and 24 hour solar power system among others to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to the people.
Abdulberqy Ebbo maintained that out of the 100 level-2 primary healthcare centers to be constructed about 20 is set to be completed in the next few weeks an indication that the present administration under the leadership of governor Mohammed Umar Bago has prioritized the health sector to enhanced better health care facilities in the state.
He revealed the following locations for the site of the ongoing projects in there respective local government areas are; Chanchaga – Old Airport, Tunga Bay Clinic Road and Kpakungu while Kontagora has Commercial School and Kawo Ward.
Others are Gurara – Lefu, Suleja – Second Gate, Lavun – Doko, Lapai – Duma Zago Ward, Shiroro – Rafin Kuka, Bosso – Garatu and Wushishi – Maito
The rest include Paiko – Tungan Mallam
Bida – Gbagbara, Agwara – Mago, Mariga – Kumbashi,bKatcha – Kateregi and Gbako – Gbadafu respectively
It could be recalled that on June 2024, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago performed the groundbreaking for the construction of the said numbers of Level 2 primary healthcare centers in Minna.
