Yoruba Co-operative Movement Commends Gov. Bago for creating enabling environment for their businesses to grow.
Niger state government has re emphasize it commitment in creating enabling environment for cooperative societies in the state to strive.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for micro small and medium enterprises Niger state, Hon. Mrs Elizabeth Shaba at the occasion of Yoruba cooperatives day 2024 and magazine, project launch, held at Justice Idris legbo kutigi Hall Minna recently.
The Commissioner who was represented at the occasion by the Coordinator on micro small and medium enterprises, Hon. Shehu Bawa Bwari said the administration of farmer Governor, Umar Mohammed Bago has identified cooperative societies as bedrock of developing small scale farming and businesses.
He said the ministry is willing to partner with any genuine and recognized cooperative societies to enable them boast their businesses in the state.
He said ‘already some cooperative societies in the state have benefited from various category of loan to boast their economy activities.
He then called on the registered cooperative societies that are yet to benefit from the loan to approach the ministry to access it without much stress,adding that Farmer Governor Umar Bago, has made available fund for the purpose.
Earlier in his welcome address,the chairman of Yoruba progressive cooperative movement Amb.Busari Isiaka in his welcome address commended the farmer Governor Umar Bago for rescueing their businesses that were moribund over the years and has given them hope.
Amb. Isiaka said with the influx of construction companies in the state, traders among them are now smiling to the banks and farmers are taking farming more serious because of the Governor’s efforts in taking farming to greater heights.
He disclosed that Governor Umar Bago,since assumption of office, has identified cooperative societies and small businesses for intervention and immediate assistance and have been giving them loan to boost their businesses in the state.
He then called on members of the cooperative societies to always pay their taxes as way of complimenting the good governance of farmer Governor Umar Mohammed Bago.
