Commissioner of Works satisfied with level of work done on Bida ring road.

The Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Development Niger state,Suleiman Umar has expressed satisfaction with quality of work done on the Bida Ring Road project.
Suleiman disclosed this in continuation of inspection tour of state government road contract under the Urban renewal project of Farmer Governor Umar Muhammed Bagos Administration
While inspecting the 44 Kilometers Bida bye pass Road project awarded last year by Governor Umar Muhammed Bago said the road project when completed would facilitate free flow of traffic and also facilitate the expansion of the ancient city.
Umar Suleiman explained that the exercise is to fast track the completion of the projects as well as ensure that they are executed in according to specification.
He then commended the construction firm on the level of work so far done and the quality of work, urging them to abide by terms of contract and standard,adding that the project will be fully monitored to ensure they abide by specifications.

He said ‘the road is part of the strategic projects under the New Niger Project design to facilitate the vision of urban renewal project of the present administration of Farmer Governor Umar Muhammed Bagos, hence the contractor to adhere strictly to the design and quality’he warns.
The Contactor handling the project Mahmod Ismail and the Site Engineer Sulaimon Olubode who briefed the delegation on the progress of work done, assures of timely completion of the project
He maintained that the project has received adequate mobilization as concrete work has already commence at about 30 percent of the road and casting of identified culverts have been completed.
