Etsu Nupe inaugurates 16-man committee to ensure smooth running of Sunti Sugar firm

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, has inaugurated a 16-man Committee to ensure the smooth running of the affairs of Sunti Golden Sugar Company in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger.
The Etsu Nupe, who is also the patron of the company, urged the members of the committee to resolve grey areas and all issues capable of causing disharmony between the host communities and it.
The Etsu Nupe directed the committee to mediate between the company and it’s host communities to ensure an inclusive decision making process, as well as to streamline the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibilities.
Abubakar called on the residents to support the company to create job more opportunities for the people.
The General Manager of the firm, Mr Andrew Du-Pisani, expressed optimism that the committee would do a thorough job acceptable to all the parties as contained in the guidelines.
The Chairman, Mokwa Local Government Area, Alhaji Jibrin Abdullahi-Muregi, promised to create a conducive atmosphere for the smooth operations of the company.
The chairman of the committee, Alhaji Mohammed Hassan-Lemu, assured that they would operate an open door policy and work in line with the laid down rules.
The members of the committee were drawn from Bida Emirate, Mokwa LGA, the company and the host communities.
