Dep. Gov. Observed Eid El Fitr Prayers in Lapai ,Pays homage to Emir of Agaie and Minna.
His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Farmer Comrade Yakubu Garba represented Farmer Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago at the ancient town of Lapai on a sallah homage were he also observed the two raka’at Eid-il-Fitr prayers after the successful completion of the 1445 AH Ramadan fast.
The prayers which was led by the Deputy Chief Imam of Lapai, Alhamdulillah Hassan Baba at the Lapai Eid praying ground also had in attendance the Emir of Lapai, Alh Umar Bago Tafida II, the Council Chairman of Lapai local government, Alh. Mohammed Musa Kirikpo, government officials and other traditional tittle holders of Lapai Emirate.
Earlier on arrival, Comrade Yakubu Garba payed homage on the Emir at his palace and congaratulated muslims for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and called on the people to rally round Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago-led administration in the State for him to succeed .
Comrade Yakubu Garba urged them to venture into farming and be security conscious at all times and report any suspicious character to the nearest security agency in order to arrest the security threat in the State.
At the palace of the Emir of Agaie, the Deputy Governor explained that the visit was to pay homage and appreciate the Emir and the Emirate Council for the support, prayers, and goodwill to the Farmer Governor Bago’s administration. He also used the medium to appreciate the Emir for the traditional title conferred on some sons of the Emirate.
In Minna, the Deputy Governor extended similar gesture of Sallah homage to the Emir of Minna. He urged the Emir of Minna, Alh. (Dr.) Umar Faruk Bahago, and the Emirate Council to be resolute in patience and prayers for the restoration of peace and security in the country.
