Prof Kuta-Yahaya bags AESON award of excellence

The National Executive Council of the Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON) has approved award of fellowship to Prof. Mohammed Kuta-Yahaya, a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Extension & Rural Development, University of Ibadan, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of the society and agricultural sector in general.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Elisah-Nissi David, the General Secretary of AESON, and made available to newsmen in Minna.
The statement said that Prof Kuta-Yahaya, (Magatakarda Nupe), a former Secretary to Niger State Government (SSG), has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Agricultural sector, hence the need for the award.
“I am delighted to inform you that that the National Executive Society of Nigeria (AESON) has approved the award of fellowship to you in recognizion of your outstanding contributions to AESON and agricultural extension at large.
“Your dedication and commitment to advancing agricultural extension practices in Nigeria have not gone unnoticed,and we believe that your expertise and leadership have greatly benefited the agricultural sector in our country,” he said.
The AESON General Secretary, while congratulating Prof. Kuta-Yahaya, who also double as the Pro-Chancellor of the newly established Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna, on the well deserved award, urged him not to relent in his efforts in contributing positively to the development of the Agricultural sector.
“Once more congratulations on this well-deserved honour. We look forward to celebrate more,”
