NSCDC Arrests Tsangaya Teacher molesting Minor in Niger

The Niger State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has arrested one Islamic teacher Malam Nura Suleiman age 43yrs for molesting his 8 years old almagiri student named Isah Muazu.
This was contained in a statement issued by the command Public Relations Officer, SC Nasiru D. Abdullahi in Minna, said the teacher was arrested in his Tsangaya Makaranta Mallam Umar, behind Niger Motel Suleja and 4 other victims were also rescued who were natives of Kawo, Kaduna state.
The molested child Isah Mu’azu was rushed to the General Hospital Suleja for urgent medical attention following the degrees of injuries observed in his body and was admitted base on the magnitude of the injuries sustained.
Reports revealed that, the children under the care of Mallam Nura Suleiman are minors and vulnerable exposed to danger of been infected by communicable diseases.
Investigation further indicate that the four other children in his custody were also found with scars on their back which could be evidence that Malam Nura Suleiman has been molesting them.
The statement added that the suspect and four victims identified as Khalipha Abdullahi, Salihu Suleiman, Mohammed Mu’azu and Ismaila Abdullahi have been handed over to the Niger State Child Rights Agency for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The Niger State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Joanchin Okafor said the Corps will ensure maximum protection of children and warned other Islamic instructor’s to desist from molesting children under their care or face the full wrath of the law.
