Auto Crash Kills 17 Person in Niger State
No fewer than 17 persons were reportedly killed in an auto crash at Takalafia village along Yawuri Expressway, in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.
An eye witness at the scene said the crash involved a DAF articulated vehicle was as a result of over speeding which resulted in loss of control that caused the accident.
According to the source, the incident occurred around 3 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday
The FRSC Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem when contacted confirmed the accident in a statement issued in Abuja.
Kazeem explained that the accident involved 29 people, comprising 20 male adults, 4 female adults, and 5 male children.
He said the injured victims have been evacuated to Kontagora General Hospital, for immediate medical attention, pointing out that the dead were deposited in the mortuary of the same Hospital in kontagora, Niger State.
