The Creation of Ministry Of Nomadic and pastoral affairs in Niger State by Governor Umar Mohammed Bago will address the incessant activities of armed bandits in Niger State a Minna based business man Alhaji Usman Hassan Shiroro has observed.
He noted that the creation of the Ministry by the present administration of Governor Umar Mohammed Bago was part of the request of the Nomads in Niger State stating that by keeping to his promised during his electioneering campaign is an indication of his passion for the Nomads in the state.
Speaking with Journalists in his office at the weekend in Minna, Alhaji Hassan Shiroro explained that the ministry will among other things address the security challenges bedeviling and bandtiry activities facing the herders and pastorals in the state.
According to him, the Nomads and their settlements in Nigers state have suffered enough hardship as a result of armed bandits and cattles rustlings which he stated that made the herders to abandoned their settlements and relocated to some part of Africa country for the safety of their lives and their animals.
He explained that the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Umar Sands Rebe as the Commissioner of the ministry of Nomadic and pastoral affairs by the governor Mohammed Umar Bago led administration was as good as puting the right peg in the right hole assuring that the Commissioner will leave up to the responsibility of his appointment.
Alhaji Usman Hassan Shiroro who is the chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ruga Ruga Affairs in Niger state appreciated governor Umar Bago foresight in seeing the Commissioner as the right choice for the appointment emphasizing that the Commissioner will not disappoint the Fulanis in Niger state.
He appealed to the fulanis communities in Niger state to give the needed hands of supports and cooperation for the Commissioner to enable him to perform in the discharge of his duty in the ministry.
Alhaji Usman Hassan Shiroro while admonishing fulanis youths in the state to guide against any act vices that will be inimical to the security of their community and the state he told them to always be security conscious at all times so as to safeguard their well-being.
